Silver A’ Design Award for Interconnection The A’ Design Award and Competition is the biggest competition for designers and creatives. No category for us? No problem. Limelight Projection Mapping won the Silver A’ Design Award in the category of Lightning Products and Lightning Projects Design as the only projection mapping project, competing with lightning design works.
“Absolutely mind blowing!” ” I can’t breath this is amazing.” “Just.. WOW… what an amazing visual performance!” These are some of the comments on our artworks lately. 3d projection mapping became one of the most spectacular forms of audio visual art. It’s a unique experience for any audience and it’s becoming a popular highlight of world class events. “It’s brilliant! I have a client who’d love a projection mapping like that. What’s the price?”
How can a projection mapping artwork look as good as the animation looking on screen? As a beginner in video mapping you’ll ask this question often and might go a long way to get to the answer. You can create the best 3d animation ever and it might not look like the way you had on your screen at all. The other day you go and give it a try on a different surface with a different projector and with an animation content that is just really simple and it works much better.
What an amazing start of 2017
We’re just amazed reading a blog post from Paul Roberts on Creative Bloq about the 14 best mapping demos that will blow your mind! Guess who’s first? Hell yeah it’s our Interconnection piece created for iMapp! It just feels amazing to be selected among such great video mapping artists. So many great artworks in locations like the Sidney Opera House or the Sagrada Familia. Another important part is what the author thinks about projection mapping. After so many years I can still rarely see people getting the point of that form of art so well.
“Often site-specific, the best work enhances rather than effaces the architecture it’s projected onto. The sheer scale can be breathtaking and the illusion of everyday and static objects around us becoming animate and playfully reworked can be incredibly exciting. Just look at the expressions on the audience’s faces during a projection and you see an almost childlike glee.”
We couldn’t have said it better.
We’re honored that our 3d projection mapping artwork Interconnection was featured on CNN Indonesia! Even not understanding a word of it we’re extremely proud to see the video! If any of you reading this speaks the language just feel free to give us a brief translation in a comment we’re really curious about what do they say..:D
